jus one episode and u can see so much of the human side...the good and the ugly side...guess thats the beauty of reality show...since the start of survivor dere has been many many reality shows all around the world...there was even a time when these shows were said to be scripted and fake blah blah...but wat i saw from this amzing race episode...its still real...very real...

the ugly side of the human when one needa come up with a decision whether to do the dirty little things to make u hav an edge over ur opponents or to do things that u can ans to ur conscience but risks losing the competition...

rmb the line...ehh...good begets good? kinda crap...if u watched most of the reality shows...most of the winners are those who are willing to do the dirty little things to win it...those hu dun...normally loses out..

had a chat wif my younger sis...so proud of her...still waitin for her A's...but already made a decision that i guess most gers her age wun make...she pounced on the chance for a SAF scholarship...and now she embarks on a new journey that most gers wun even tink of headin...she has always been the practical one of the 3 of us...and the most determined one i gues...nothin gona change her mind once she sets her sights...but i still cant believe that she is actually gona get army uniform earlier den ME....i jus wish her all the best...


as the countdown for the new year approaches, it oso marks the start of sch...i m so behind the semester...i felt like i aint a student anymore...i guess with all the festive mood around its so hard to reali concentrate on the tests that are comin up...i jus hope the worst wun happen...

RAINSTORM review...

this book is a narrative story...its only when i started reading that i realised its been aeons since i last read a narrative book...personally, narrative story isnt my cup of tea...all bcos of the descriptions that tend to dominate the plot rather den the story itself....

BUT rainstorm was a pleasant surprise...its a story about a contractor...for those hu aint tt savvy bout this...CONTRACTOR here means a professional that do freelance jobs (murder sabotage recons) for government in order to keep their country safe....

story about how he went about completing his mission and all the ups and downs of the whole experience....downs will be his narrow escapes fr death...ups will be his sex escapades....oh well...it may seems to be a something superficial but i dare say this story is full of depth...LOLs...

it isnt reali top of my list...but still its a very very GOOD narrative book that i had read for recent years...

had a crazy wkend...still feelin the aftermath....

fridae nite was a drive to marina sq for carl's...all bcos chan had craving...LOLs....aniwae....settled at sher hse...and den its the usual MJ....2 tables....all the way to the nxt mornin....

mornin went straight to chengsan cc for bball...its like a reali long time since we've played ball tgt as tauhuay...well..like i said in the past....bball is an impt ting in my life and nobody can ever take it away fr mi....and i guess the flame is up and goin again...mus be all the groove ard the NBA season...LOLs...had lunch at sumo and den its home sweet home...

slpt throughout the afternn and den its lik hse after i woke up for epl games....played poker through the nite too...so damn sad....MANU lost....so damn frustrating...ZZZZZ....hate to drop points to lousy team....

durin our sumo lunch on sat...elroy dad called and told him that sg national dragonboat team had an accident in cambodia and 5 ppl were missin fr the incident and he called to ask if sher was wif the team....we were all shocked by the news...a mix of feelings spurred inside mi...was both sad and relieved....sad bcos of the accident..relieved bcos sher din went for the cambodia race wif the team...if not i would hav lost one of my closest fren...actualli i regard him as a kin...we noticed sher immediately bout the race and todae they confirmed tt the 5 missing persons were found dead...condolences to their family...

now...i noe that sayin is old...but still...cherish wat u hav now...u never noe when they will jus disappear...anyhow...sher jus lost 5 of his frens...i guess we can never be sure in life....

HOUSE OF SCORPIONs by nancy farmer review...

this book will be in my hall of fame for books....if i ever hav one...LOL....

this is a science fiction based book...the story depicts a life story of a clone boy called matt...he is a clone of a druglord who is wealthy and powerful...the druglord owned a big big piece of land which is in between mexico and america...in this piece of land....where the druglord call it Opium has MANY MANY poppy fields...the druglord is 144 years old...and the reason for his longevity is bcos he had many many clones and used them to change his old dyin organs into fresh young ones....now...here is the catch....out of those clones...matt was the only one hu has been given a chance to tink and act like a human as....he was the only tt escaped the BRAINDEAD process....

the whole story revolved around matt and him learnin about his origins and the differences between him and humans....SUPER SUPER nice...

one thing i notice a bout this book is that it starts with a bang and the excitement will grip u all the way...to about half of the book?LOLs...the latter of the book will seems to mellow down abit as the story goes into the philosophical tempo....its slower and much more melancholic?guess i can put it tt way....

once u start readin u will never wana put the book down...!

i still rmb the first time when i read this book...i kinda din reali understood everytin...might be because of my limited knowledge on encryptions...but after a 2nd try...i can finally appreciate the book...the whole book is full of surprises and entrallin characters...schemin ppl wif terrible ambitions....the most witty ppl are usually the most schemin...

lotsa concept to grasp...lols...tts wat i like about dan brown he done a great job in researchin on the information...he reali can thwart the facts and fiction....jus look at da vinci code and the commotion he caused...LOL

the book is a great read...but beware! do have sufficient knowledge on cryptology if not the book might jus be a little turn off!!

here for THE BROKER review...

jus finished this book...by john grisham...well...lets jus say i hav been waitin for this book for a long long time and finally got to read it...LOLs....

as usual grisham allow his readers to immerse themselves in a plot where an individual pits his wits against the government boundless resources and intel....very very old school kinda plot...but i guess thats y i like his books...ahas...

love the part where joel backman learns the italian language and culture...he is tryin to blend into Bologna a italian city to hide his identity....the italian culture is makin mi wana travel more...HAIZ...to reali open up my world....hate to be the frog in the well....

oh well...the endin was disappointin...reali...was awaitin smt more dramatic or drastic...but it didmt come as i continued to burn the pages...culd hav been better towards the end...

had a great soccer weekend wif MAN utd winnin 4-1 away at villa...WOOOHOOO...and at the same time winnin money on the mahjong table...LOLs...

and F1 season...KIMI RAIKONNEN WON the driver title and of cos ferarri winnin the constructor title...nICE NICE...

had a great time in sentosa wif the guys...all's well except my skin problem...finally gg on medication for my acnes...den the medicine was too strong...made the face all puffy n sore...sians...jus hope the new medicine gona work it out...!

i'd jus finished watchin a movie..."in the land of women" starring andy brody, meg ryan and kristen stewart....

hMmm...wat can i say bout this film....

one of the best films i'd watched in recent times....

touched my heart...

generated a somewhat unexplainable feeling...

its a story about a L.A. man hu has jus fallen out of love and decided to move to his granny hse in Michigan to escape from the sorrows of love...AND...unknowingly gettin himself involved in 4 women's life....the story touched on many aspects of love...motherly love...family love...first love...and of cos true love...the plot is truely compelling...captivating...very very alluring...

a very down to earth plot...yet it eludes a whimsical feeling...endin was quite well done...and like i said before...sad endings are always a plus point for mi...but it aint totally depressing...

a definite mus watch...this film is not yet release in singapore...i tink...lols...well do catch it if u hav a chance! =)

ystd was bbq nite for aLL tauhuayrians...!!organised by chan...he did a great job though he was in camp for most of the time...we managed to get almost a full attendance although some left early some came later...but still it is still a success!!!

met up with chan elroy matt n sl to shop for misc items before headin to ecp...got dere bout 5pm...set up and slacked wif poker cards...chan specially booked pit 69...i tink i dun hav to explain...aniwae...the crowd started comin around 6...n ks brought his boombox...tt mark the start of the bbq...lol

so den its cook eat beer eat eat eat eat beer beer beer beer...we had a great time solvin puzzles and playin games like'i know i know' that kinda games...lols...had a great laugh...!

after all the food is gone...its ALCOHOL...lols...doug brought peach vodka and irish whiskey...!the aim of the nite is to get chan real drunk...and i tink we did tt...!lols...he cui...everyone drank with him...so high...hahhahs...

can still taste the irish whiskey in my mouth...jus woke up..gotta wash up...!hahas..
